Mabu-HI friends!!! My name is Lauren. I'm a SoCal based graphic designer that created a brand dedicated to the all the cool anaks (kids) at heart, a club we're all a part of. Lemme let you in on a fun fact too...my brand is actually named after my mom Cherry! The word "seresa" in Tagalog means cherry. I'm both Filipino and Mexican, and always dreamt to have brand that helps others embrace their culture, community, and find relatability in those shared traditions and memories that connect us with our heritage. You'll quickly notice that many of my designs have a playful twist to them, making it even more fun for the whole pamilya to tsismis about. My hobbies include screen printing and long walks down the snack aisle. I'm the auntie who most likely has shrimp chips or skyflakes in her tote. I currently live in Oxnard, California with my husband, and dog Maarte, but we call him Marty. Hopia have an amazing day!

What motivates / inspires you?

Much of how my imagination was shaped was spending time with my grandmother. I was always that kid attached to their sketchbook, constantly doodling or being crafty in some way. She always encouraged me to lean in to what I wanted to create and to never lose that passion behind it. I'm really grateful to be amongst a community of artists, who are constantly inspiring me. Whose encouragement and kindness have motivated me to keep creating. Seeing other people live out their own dream, makes my heart so full. Just to see that it is possible.
