Hello! I'm Jeremy Passion, a singer / songwriter originally from San Francisco, CA but currently living in Texas with my beautiful family — Rachel, KJ, Nolan, Mac, and our dog, Mars. I have a passion and love for creating songs that inspire and encourage people in positive ways to find and pursue their own personal passions in life.

A Selfmade Artist is someone who expresses theirself through their unique artform. A Selfmade Artist believes that their creativity can make a difference in the world. When you find the freedom in being yourself, you help others find that freedom as well.

Top 3 — Why do you love being a Selfmade Artist?

It brings me joy! Sharing our art/stories connects us to the world around us. I recognize that music and songwriting are gifts and you must honor and nurture it.

What motivates / inspires you?

Life has always provided the inspiration needed to write the stories and melodies heard in my music. Having a family of my own has given me a bigger purpose to keep going, even though it may be tough at times being an independent artist. Also, touring as a musician is so much fun when you get to connect with your listeners in a live setting.

What are you most proud of?

I'm most proud of the fact that even after certain trials and setbacks in life, I didn't give up in my music. I recognize that being a musician is what connected me to all my most important relationships in life, and music is what has allowed me to travel to over 33 countries the past 20 years of doing this.

What was your first dream job?

My dream job was also to be involved in some type of social work. I grew up with a younger brother with special needs and I've always thought that my career would line up with helping people in need. I guess you can say that music is a form of therapy for people, so my current career wasn't too far off from what I originally wanted to do.

What other path would you have taken if not this one?

I think that if I didn't become a Selfmade Artist, I would probably be involved in helping and assisting people with disabilities to live more independent lives.
