Hi friends! ☺︎ My name is Claudia. I’m a first generation Korean born and raised in Portland, Oregon, but now living in Honolulu, Hawai'i. I am lucky to fly the skies as a flight attendant for Hawaiian Airlines, and I also switch it up with my popcorn business. I love to dance, cook, and stargaze!

What does a Selfmade Flight Attendant / Entrepreneur do?

Flight attendants handle emergencies on the plane. We are the first responders of the sky. We also help passengers with anything they need and serve them yummy food and drinks! But we also get to travel and see the world — I have been to 10 countries so far! As an entrepreneur you get to make your ideas come to life — for me, that was through my vegan popcorn business, truffle&pop. Being an entrepreneur is rewarding because your creative side is rewarded with people enjoying your product!

Childhood dream

Being a flight attendant has always been a childhood dream of mine.

Set for the skies

Getting on a plane or being in an airport feels right to me — it never gets old!

Still room for a side business

There is nothing greater than seeing people enjoy my popcorn. I once saw a passenger on a flight I was working on, munching truffle&pop. and it made me so happy!

What motivates / inspires you?

The little Claudia that still exists inside of me motivates me the most. I remember looking up to the flight attendants on my flights to South Korea every year and being in awe. Every time I get to fly, my younger self feels proud, fulfilled, and excited.
