Aloha! My name is Abby! I am a photographer here in the beautiful islands of Hawai'i. I started photography as a hobby a couple years back, but once I realized how much I enjoyed working with people and getting to be creative, I decided to turn it into a career! While my business used to be strictly on Oahu, I now offer sessions all over the islands. When I am not taking photos, I enjoy spending time at the beach with my husband, David, and 6 month old daughter, Lucia on our home island of Moloka’i.

What does a Selfmade Photographer do?

A Selfmade Photographer meets with all kinds of people to take photos of different moments that their clients want to remember forever. After the photographer takes the photos, they edit them in their own particular style and give their client a gallery full of beautiful pictures to look at!

What motivates / inspires you?

What motivates me the most is being able to give people back a collection of photos that, one day, they can look back on and remember how special that certain moment in life was. That's why I do what I do!

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of how I was able to create a business that allows me to celebrate families while also being able to be home with mine.

What was your first dream job?

Chef

What other path would you have taken if not this one?

If I had taken a different path in life, I always thought that I might become a teacher! My teachers growing up inspired me to dream big and never doubt myself. I still think about them today.
